What
made her proud: "I love XX/XY (a soon-to-be released Sundance
hit she co-stars in with Mark Ruffalo). Even if I hadn't been part
of the movie, I would go see it. It's subtle and smart and the writing
doesn't insult the audience."
Kathleen Robertson isn't bitchy, like Clare Arnold on Beverly Hills
90210, or mean like Rhonda in Psycho Beach Party. It's when you
catch her wistful references to Tim Hortons and a summer vacation
in Collingwood that you start to understand not who she isn't, but
who she is.
"We had people over for dinner, but because it's LA, no one
eats dessert. They're all crazy. I ate half a cherry pie. It was
delicious. People are always amazed when they see an actor who eats,
but you should never not eat."
" The thing that people don't understand is that nobody looks
like that. Nobody looks like they do on the cover of a magazine.
They spend 1 1/2 hours on your hair and makeup and hours looking
for the perfect sweater. It's not real."
"If you're going to spend money on anything, spend it on skin
care, like face moisturizers and eye creams and body moisturizers
and bath stuff. A $30 lip liner is just kind of silly."
"I hate going to the gym. It's too bring. I just bought a
bike and I've been going bike riding. I usually do nine miles, which
sounds like a lot, but really isn't. I probably go three mornings
a week."
"I feel really great after my bike rides, they give me the
energy for a 16-hour day."
"Wesley is my tiny 6 1/2 pound miniature pinscher. He's a
spoiled little dog. I bring him everywhere."
"If you really want to do something, you'll find your way."
